Headgear

Headgear may be used as part of orthodontic treatment with fixed or removable braces or even a functional appliance in severe cases.

Headgear is mainly only used in children and adolescents.

Headgear is used to move the back teeth backwards to either create room at the front of the mouth for crowded, crooked teeth or to retract protruding (sticking out) front teeth.

Headgear is worn at night while sleeping and also evening times if necessary.
